hem fet la verema i els camps hem llaurat!

We've harvested the grapes and we've ploughed the fields!

Octubre, que daures el bosc que era verd

October, you turn golden the forests that were green,

el cup i la bóta de vi ens has omplert;

You've fulfilled our needs and filled our wine skin;

t’endus l’oreneta molt lluny, cel enllà,

You drive the swallows away, to other skies,

però a l’hort la magrana tu has fet coronar!

But in the groves, you've crowned the pomegranate!

Novembre, que plores tot regant els camps:

November, you cry so as to water the fields:

bolets i castanyes duus a xics i grans.

You bring mushrooms and chestnuts to both young and old.

El dia s’escurça; se’n va Sant Martí,

Days become shorter; Saint Martin departs,

les fulles ja cauen, el fred ja és aquí!

The leaves start falling and the cold arrives here!

Desembre, que arribes amb Sant Nicolau,

December, you arrive with Saint Nicholas,

la neu que tu portes fa el cim més suau;

The snow that you bring makes the hilltops softer;

l’anyada s’acaba, t’enduus la Tardor,

The year is ending, you drive Autumn away

però amb tu torna sempre el Nadal del Senyor!
