ביושר נכתבו

they have been written in equity.

בם דיברות עשר

In them are Ten Commandments;

בעדות נחקרו

שמעו לאנוכי

They heard, 'I am [the Lord your God],'

ולא יהיה לך

and 'You shall not have [any other god before Me]';

מפי גבורה הם

from the mouth of the Omnipotent they [issued forth],

ותורה שמרו

while they have kept the Torah.

ברוך אשר זיכה

Blessed is He who has merited

עדתו לחזות

his congregation to see futurities;

תורה תמימה בה

whom by the perfect Law

נפשות כשרו

has made souls worthy.

זכרה אדון הכל

Remember, O Lord of all things,

לחן תורתך

the beauty of your Torah;

קבץ פזורנו

Gather in those of us who are scattered,

אשר נתפזרו

who have been dispersed.
